All about Christ and the experience He's planned out for me.
I’m all for blogging about your emotions. Heck, that’s what 80% of Christian Tumblrs do, they blog about their passion and their love for God. But when it comes to emotions like frustration and anger, Christians, lets have the self-control to keep our language glorifying, even in the most irritating circumstances.
The content of what we blog should be edifying. That means, guys, come on, no half-naked girls plastered on our dashboards, and I know you know who you are. Let’s be men of God, not little boys, okay? Besides you should be extremely considerate of those who may be fighting an ongoing struggle with lust, and posting stuff like that… Matthew 18:6, “but whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a great millstone fastened around his neck and to be drowned in the depth of the sea.”
I know we all have our own conflicts with people, and we can get really heated up sometimes, and I know that Tumblr or even any kind of blog is an extremely tempting place to just vent out all of what we’re feeling, but how about we be the bigger person and just not talk crap about one another? I shouldn’t even have to say this. Ephesians 4:15, Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ. One of my biggest pet peeves is when people say something derogatory about someone else on Tumblr but they don’t say who it is, and leave it anonymous, assuming that it’s safe. Honestly, you don’t even have to be Christian to realize how immature that is. If you have a problem with someone, go tell them, and work it out with them lovingly! It frustrates me to no end when I see the body of Christ making Tumblr posts about each other, and then they’re all surprised and start saying stuff like “oh, there’s so much drama” when the other person finds out. Grow up, learn to deal with conflicts in a Christly manner. (PS I know this is kind of contradictory since I’m talking about an unnamed population of people who do this, but you get the point)
